BlackBerry has confirmed the plans to make BlackBerry 10 handsets more affordable. This was stated by Rob Orr, the executive management of BlackBerry for the UK and Ireland in talks to Pocket-lint.
Orr said that they will have the tools for each segment. Furthermore, he said that over time they will bring BlackBerry 10 to all segments, but it will take time.
Before this BlackBerry ever hinted there will be six handsets that use the BlackBerry 10 OS in 2013. Therefore, this could be an affordable product will appear in 2013 as well.
Orr also said that BlackBerry 7-based devices will still be sold for some time to come. According BlackBerry 7 has a place and continue to sell well in some market segments, while people will buy BB10 for reasons different experience.
